Colvos Creek Nursery story …
Colvos Creek Nursery closed at the end of June, 2014. We were sad to bring it to an end after nearly forty years, but it was no longer profitable and our other work needed more of our time.
Over the years we enjoyed bringing many new and unheard-of plants to the public, from grevilleas, hardy eucalyptus, and evergreen oaks to many Northwest natives. All were little known in the Northwest and now are out there. It is satisfying to have had a part in that.
Just as rewarding has been getting to know so many plant people and sharing their enthusiasm for growing the new and unusual. Those friendships remain. And for those wanting more of what we used to grow, the good news is that several great nurseries are filling the gap.
